How to make a shaped collage

  1. Pick a layout. Bursts and rings work best with 6 to 12 photos; Diamond, Circle and Hexagon center need just 5.
  2. Click Add photos, or drop images straight onto the preview. Drop a single photo on a panel to put it exactly there.
  3. Click a panel to select it, drag to reposition the photo inside, and scroll or use the Zoom slider to crop tighter.
  4. Tune the shape (size, twist, rotation) and the lines between panels, then add a filter or rounded corners.
  5. Save as PNG for the best quality, or JPG for a smaller file to share.

Tips for better collages

  • Put your strongest photo in the centre panel. It's always panel 1.
  • Use one filter across all photos so shots from different phones look like a set.
  • A dark background with white lines makes the flower and prints layouts pop.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Your photos are processed entirely in your browser and never leave your device. Only the layout shapes are loaded from CrunchCube.

Is Collage Shape Studio free?

Yes. All 20 layouts, filters and exports up to 3000 pixels are free, with no watermark and no sign-up.

Which size should I export for Instagram or WhatsApp?

Use 1080 px and JPG for social posts and WhatsApp. Choose Portrait 4:5 for Instagram feed posts and Story 9:16 for stories and reels covers.

Can I use HEIC photos from an iPhone?

Browsers can't read HEIC files directly. Export or share the photo as JPG first, or set your iPhone camera to Most Compatible.
